SURUGAI was founded in late 2025 by Björn Burrasch, driven by a clear pursuit of entrepreneurial independence and a deliberate commitment to fully realize creative potential and share it with a wider audience.

His passion for photography emerged during an extended journey through Chile. A deep engagement with image editing and visual composition naturally evolved into the creation of refined digital artworks. Alongside this, his creative foundation in writing dates back many years, beginning with early works such as poetry and short theatrical pieces.

The development of books grew from an intrinsic motivation to unite text and imagery into a cohesive artistic form, allowing stories to resonate both visually and narratively. Further inspiration came from his nephews and niece, whose perspectives and curiosity played a meaningful role in bringing his first book projects to life.

The name SURUGAI reflects the project’s core philosophy: "fulfillment through creative expression".
